european transformative justice network

the European TJ Network is a loose community of people in Europe who practise transformative justice, or community-based / non-state and non-punitive responses to harm and conflict through an abolitionist feminist lens.

we meet every other month, on the second monday of the month from 18-19:30 CET / 17-18:30 BST to build community with one another. we offer space for folks to share what is going on in the transformative justice and abolitionist movements in their city/region/country to cultivate a sense of how this work is evolving in different regions of Europe and how we might link our struggles.

we also offer space for people to share stories of challenges or questions from their own practice and to receive peer supervision and discussion among the group.

the network was formed out of a transnational transformative justice conference organised in 2023, and we seek to grow intentionally, particularly by welcoming TJ practitioners from marginalised regions and communities within Europe, broadly defined, to join us.

please join our mailing list (through this link), where network members share upcoming events or interesting media/readings, or come to our next gathering (see the meetings schedule below)!

if you would like to facilitate a session, please feel free to sign-up in the schedule below. you are welcome to get in touch with Melanie (melanie.brazzell@gmail.com), Nishma (nishma.jethwa@googlemail.com) and Valentina (valentina@emergentjusticecollective.org) for any questions, suggestions or support around holding the space. session.
